Project Breakdown

Marula Monkey is a lively cocktail bar known for late-night events, DJs and a bold, colourful brand. The old site didn’t reflect the venue’s personality, was hard to update, and made it difficult to promote weekly events or capture private-hire enquiries.

We rebuilt the site in Webflow with two priorities: translate the brand visually online, and make the site a simple, effective promotional engine for events and bookings.

What we delivered:

  • Full Webflow rebuild that mirrors Marula Monkey’s energetic, colourful identity across desktop and mobile.
  • Integrated booking/reservations flow so customers can reserve tables and private areas without third-party friction.
  • CMS-driven events calendar and promotions area, enabling the team to publish upcoming nights, DJs and special offers quickly.
  • Social and mailing-list sign-up hooks to capture audience details for event marketing.
  • Mobile-first UX and performance tweaks to improve load times and conversion on phones.
  • Local SEO basics and schema for events to improve discoverability.
  • Handover session and simple CMS how-to so staff can add events, upload flyers and update menus themselves.
